FFYF Statement on the Passing of Rasheed Malik
Our hearts are heavy upon receiving the news of the passing of Rasheed Malik.
As an unmatched researcher and policy expert, Rasheed leaves an enduring legacy as a steadfast champion for children. His dedication and passion for smart, savvy research drove progress and new understanding on Capitol Hill.
But it was Rasheed’s leadership, empathy, and warmth shone through the work, making him a source of inspiration across the child care and early learning community. The First Five Years Fund staff who had the fortune to work directly with Rasheed enjoyed the offline conversations about the joys of being a parent. We extend our sincerest sympathies to his loved ones, friends and his colleagues.
