
Abby Holland
Abby Holland joined the First Five Years Fund as Government Affairs Manager in 2024. In this role, she supports FFYF’s federal advocacy and government relations strategy. Holland comes to FFYF from Capitol Hill, where she developed and advanced legislation as Senior Legislative Assistant to U.S. Representative Abigail Spanberger, leading the Congresswoman’s policy work and achievements on education, children, families, and more.
Prior to her career on Capitol Hill, Holland worked on the 2020 Biden-Harris Campaign as Regional Director of Absentee Ballots in North Carolina, and as a Research Assistant at the University of Virginia’s Ed Policy Works, where she assisted the Virginia Department of Education with the implementation of a federal Preschool Development Birth through Five Initial Grant Award (PDG B-5). She began her career in DC as an intern at the U.S. Department of Education in the Office of Civil Rights.
Holland holds an undergraduate degree in American Studies and a Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Virginia.
