Christy Felling
Christy Felling joined the First Five Years Fund as Director of Communications and Marketing in 2022. In this role, she guides the organization’s integrated communications strategies to advance FFYF’s mission and build bipartisan support for early care and education policies among media, advocacy partners and key influencers.
Before joining FFYF, Felling spent more than a decade as the Director of Public Affairs for Share Our Strength, where she spearheaded the No Kid Hungry campaign efforts to build public support for policies that connect children with the food they need. Prior to that, she worked as Director of Strategic Communications for the Center for American Progress, leading media outreach and research around policy issues including national security, climate change, and poverty. She began her career as a research assistant for the Wall Street Journal.
Felling grew up in Delaware and received her undergraduate degree from Washington and Lee University with a B.S. in Political Science. She currently resides in Washington, DC with her husband Matthew.
